Electrolux kitchen appliance review

I had the good fortune to work in marketing for Electrolux a few years before we moved to Texas. In addition to the benefit of working with great people in a healthy work environment, employees could purchase Electrolux appliances at a discount. I got all the appliances in my kitchen from Electrolux over 10 years ago, and they are all still in good working order. Today I wanted to share my Electrolux kitchen appliance review. While there are a couple I would pass on, most I still love and recommend.

Pass

Trash compactor. I only purchased this because there was an old one in the house we bought and I though it better to replace the compactor than reface the cabinets. I would only recommend a trash compactor if you produce more than a bag of trash per day. We didn’t produce the volume of trash to make this worthwhile. We ended up removing the compactor mechanism to make it easier to throw trash in the bin. There is nothing wrong with this product. It looked and worked great, it just didn’t work for our family’s needs. I looked on the website and didn’t see it listed, so assuming they no longer produce trash compactors.

Good

Refrigerator and dishwasher. These products have worked hard for us over the last 10 years, but the dishwasher is approaching the end of its lifecycle. We had the dishwasher control board replaced a few years ago, and there are drainage issues requiring more attention. The refrigerator is still in great working condition, and likely has 5+ more years of life in it.

Great

The Electrolux 36” induction cooktop, double oven, and built-in microwave are the crown jewels of my kitchen. I LOVE these products. Induction cooktops give you the same temperature control as a gas cooktop without releasing harmful pollutants into your home from burning natural gas. It may also prevent curious little hands from being burned. While the cooktop still gets hot, induction works by transferring heat directly to the pan rather than the cooktop surface, so the cooktop surface doesn’t get as hot as an electric cooktop. The double oven is big, beautiful and has practical features like convection, luxury-glide oven racks and intuitive controls. On a typical day the bottom oven serves as storage for baking sheets, but the flexibility of having two ovens makes things a little easier and a little better on holidays and special occasions. The built-in microwave is sleek, has the same intuitive controls as the oven, and most importantly, works great.

This post is not sponsored. I genuinely love my appliances and wanted to share my Electrolux kitchen appliance review after 10 years of use. You can buy directly from their website.
